this was inspired by chinese internet addiction

spider solitaire is angry at me
i keep failing it
i need to stop promising to always win
i need to stop promising to lick the corner of the screen
whenever i lose

spider solitaire never asks me for anything
but i still feel compelled
to rub cream cheese around its cards

i won't forget the time it let me win
i won't forget all those days it was happy for me
when it abandoned sarcasm and i found myself singing to it
softly and without a melody
like whenever i would bury my pets
or the love i felt originating from my stomach

damn straight i am going to post a poem three hours after you post to nullify the effects of your poem's debut. for some reason, this joke makes me laugh. I have a feeling it will have that effect on very few people.

Are you depressed by space travel?
Are you depressed by pancakes?
Are you depressed by flowers?
Are you depressed by the candy in vending machines?

ian your joke made me laugh. i think poets and stand up comics are 98% identical on some level, like chimpanzees and humans are 98% genetically identical.

i think pancakes seriously are depressing. i have never been not disappointed by a pancake.

this poem has changed.

i play spider solitaire for hours at a time.

i can only handle two suits max.

i prefer the peaceful nature of one suit.
